Kim Kardashian Apologizes For Using The R-Word In Instagram Video

Kim Kardashian is facing backlash online after using an offensive word in a video posted to her Instagram Stories.

The reality star was annoyed that people at Kendall Jenner’s birthday/halloween party didn’t recognize her outfit. Kim was dressed as ’90s-era Pamela Anderson — specifically, the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards look, pink fuzzy hat included.

In the video, Kim disappointingly tells her friend Stephanie Shepherd, “Nobody knows who I am… R******d!”

Viewers slammed the 38-year-old entrepreneur, calling her use of the word “hurtful” and “cruel.”

Kim has since apologized for the slur, telling TMZ, “I want to apologize for what I said in a recent video post that is inappropriate and insensitive to the special needs community. I try to learn from my mistakes and this is one of those times. Please know that my intention is always pure, and in this case, it was a mistake. I’m sorry.”

The controversy comes just months after Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian were heard using the same word in an Instagram livestream. Khloe later apologized when a fan confronted her about the issue on Twitter.

“Ugh I hate that word! Why did I even say that?” Khloe wrote. “You are a million per cent right and I actually greatly dislike when people use that word! I will do better! I am sorry! much love today.”
