Doom and gloom took over Super Bowl Sunday when a new trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse debuted during a commercial break.
20th Century Fox premiered a new trailer for the superhero movie, with an all-star cast taking centre stage in the 40-second spot.

“Let’s go to war,” Jennifer Lawrence’s character Raven Darkholme says in the trailer. The Oscar-winner stars alongside Michael Fassbender, Oscar Isaac, Olivia Munn, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Evan Peters, Josh Helman and Sophie Turner in the Bryan Singer-directed Marvel movie.
The latest instalment of the franchise sees the world’s oldest mutant, Apocalypse (Isaac), awaken to recruit a powerful team of mutants known as the Four Horsemen. His new team of mutants aims to destroy the world, with only the X-Men capable of stopping them on their road to destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse is out in theatres May 27.
