Canadian-Born TV Host Jillian Barberie Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Will Undergo Double Mastectomy

Jillian Barberie has some unpleasant news to share about her health, taking to Twitter to reveal she just received a diagnosis of breast cancer.

The native of Burlington, Ont. revealed on Tuesday that she was getting a biopsy, telling her Twitter followers that “we will know for sure on Friday.”

The results were not good, and on Thursday she revealed the diagnosis. “It’s cancer in my right breast but also it has spread to my lymph node,” wrote the 52-year-old former host of “Good Day LA”.

“I’m going to be super aggressive and do double mastectomy,” she continued, adding that her doctor advised “chemo for the lymph.”

In a followup tweet, she admitted that “the hardest part about a cancer diagnosis is telling your kids,” revealing she called pal Dr. Drew Pinsky for advice on how to break it to her two children.

“Cancer sucks and f**k cancer and all that good stuff,” she concluded. “Wish me much.”
