“The Voice” judge Blake Shelton will appear on “Ellen” on Monday and he has a lot to talk about.
Shelton’s reign as People Magazine’s 2017 Sexiest Man Alive, is about to come to an end. He sat down with Ellen DeGeneres, and told her how it has affected his relationship with girlfriend Gwen Stefani. “It’s like, it was supposed to be a superpower,” he joked. “I don’t think she felt the power.”
When a photo of Shelton in a sailor costume appeared on the stage screen, he recounted the story of how a costume party turned into a joke-on-him, when the first person he encountered at the gathering asked him if he was supposed to be the “Ghostbusters” character, Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Shelton and DeGeneres also discussed his vodka brand, Smithworks, in an opportune moment to segue to his recent tumble on stage. “What happened?” asked DeGeneres, after showing the video of the fall. After squirming in his seat, Shelton finally explained, “I blame that on Pitbull, [who] was on that show. Which is a great combination, by the way; Blake Shelton, and Pitbull. So, you can imagine how I was feeling. I fell down on stage. I fell down on stage.” He went on to say, “It’s embarrassing.”
Shelton also revealed details about his upcoming “Friends & Heroes Tour”. The tour will begin on February 14, 2019, with 18 dates across the United States. Joining him will be Lauren Alaina, the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and Trace Adkins.
The episode of “Ellen”, featuring Blake Shelton, airs tomorrow, Nov. 4, 2018.
