Alexander Skarsgard will be part of the cast when two of filmdom’s all-time biggest stars — literally — face off in the upcoming monster mashup “Godzilla vs. Kong”.

In an interview Monday with SiriusXM’s Entertainment Weekly Radio, the “Big Little Lies” star divulged some details about his character, and how he fits into the smash-up between the two big-screen beasts.

However, the 42-year-old actor dismissed rumours his character is the leader of an elite military unit.

“That’s not true,” he declares. “That’s a lie.”

So who is he, then? “He’s not an alpha, bad-ass hero, which I thought was quite interesting,” revealed Skarsgard. “He is thrown into this very dangerous situation and is definitely not equipped for it and that makes it a bit more interesting in my opinion than had he been a bad-ass dude. He’s just a tiny, tiny human trying to survive between these two behemoths.”

We’ll find out more when “Godzilla vs. Kong” hits theatres on May 22, 2020; ahead of that, look for “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” to debut on May 31, 2019.
