Julianne Hough does not want to play the leader when it comes to her relationships. But rather, the “Grease: Live”; star prefers to take a seat back and let her fiance Brooks Laich do (most of) the work.
In a recent interview with Redbook magazine for their March issue, Hough says, “Because of the nature of my career, it’s very easy for me to call the shots and ‘be the man. So it’s very nice to feel like a strong woman and still have my man be my leading man.”
Hough and Laich announced their engagement in August through Instagram. Clinging to her hockey playing soon-to-be-husband, she captioned the photo, “We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiance #love.”;
She also opens up to the magazine about her new-found maturity that has come with being engaged. The “Dancing With The Stars”; performer says, “When I was 21, I did and said things because I wanted to be accepted. But there’s a point where you grow up. Now I’m much more honest with myself and other people.”;
