Richard Madden is used to being bombarded with fan messages, but it’s a whole different story when you have to read those posts aloud.
Madden, 32, who recently starred in the hit series “Bodyguard”, read an array of “thirst tweets” for a Buzzfeed skit.
The actor cringed as he said things like, “So I’m late to the party and finally watching ‘Bodyguard’ and I think I’m pregnant after just looking at Richard Madden.”
“Richard Madden existing is a thirst trap,” another fan gushed.
A third social media user posted, “‘Bodyguard’ drops on Netflix today and so begins my Emmy campaign for Richard Madden’s left jaw muscle. It does so much work over 6 episodes.”
Another one of the messages included: “I was thinking about Richard Madden on my flight and my nipples got hard.”
The clip comes after Madden addressed rumours suggesting he’s going to be the next James Bond.
He said on “This Morning” that it is “flattering to be involved in the conversation” though he remained coy on his involvement, adding that “people make up things.”
Meanwhile, on Monday Madden joined James Corden on “The Late Late Show” with Aaron Taylor Johnson, to talk about everything from what inspired him to change his appearance to his mother’s favourite nickname for him.
