The Weeknd took to the stage in his hometown on Thursday, and fans in attendance at the launch of new Canadian creative collective HXOUSE received a little something extra, thanks to a rambunctious fan.
As the Weeknd sang his 2015 hit “The Hills”, a female fan near the front of the stage showed her appreciation by throwing her bra on the stage.
As fan-shot video from the show illustrates, the singer quickly picked up the lingerie, holding it aloft for a moment. “You’re gonna get me in trouble out here, guys,” quipped the 28-year-old singer as he flung the undergarment back into the crowd.
Meanwhile, the Weeknd also had some big news to share: he’s hard at work on a new album and will be ready to share it soon.
“I wanna let you guys know, being in Toronto these past two days — I haven’t been this inspired in years,” he said to the crowd.
“I want you guys to be the first to know that I’m working on my new album right now,” he added. “Chapter 6 coming soon, let’s get it!”
The forthcoming “chapter 6” will be the Weeknd’s first new music since the release of his EP My Dear Melancholy, which dropped in March.
Following the show, he hinted on Twitter that his next release will be a full-fledged album – not an EP – and also shared some pics:
