James Barker Band fans, prepare your ears for a cover that will have you weak at the knees.

On Wednesday the Canadian Country Music Award winners released two new exclusive tracks recorded with Spotify Singles in Canada at Revolution Studio in Toronto.

The country group performed a new interpretation of their own track “Good Together” as well as a swoon-worthy take on Camila Cabello’s “Never Be The Same”.

“We landed on this song because it is just a plain and simple HIT,” lead singer James Barker shared about the thought process behind choosing Cabello’s song. “The chorus melody just sounds like a smash. That melody would have been a hit no matter the genre or generation, it made our job pretty easy!”

Not only did the band completely knock the performance out of the park, but their covers were the first Spotify Single session to ever be recorded in Canada and released globally. Take a listen below.

The band, consisting of James Barker, Taylor Abram, Bobby Martin and Connor Stephen, also teased a music video to accompany the cover.

The Juno Award-winning group partnered up with “World of Dance” duo Luka and Jenalyn to create the captivating video. Check out a teaser below before its release on Friday, Nov. 9.
