Ellen DeGeneres Surprises Baltimore Drummers With New Digital Series About Their Lives

Ellen DeGeneres loves to surprise her guests on her daytime talk show.

On Thursday’s episode, the TV host brought back Timothy Fletcher and Malik Perry, two drummers from Baltimore who appeared on the show earlier this season.

In a big surprise for the talented duo, DeGeneres revealed that her show will be producing a brand new digital series about them called “The Build Up”.

“We’re going to follow you around the city of Baltimore,” she explained. “What you’ve gone through to get to where you are.”

The host then brought out home makeover experts Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri, who will be working with Fletcher and Perry to help rebuild areas of their Baltimore community.

DeGeneres also announced another big surprise as part of the new show: keys to a brand new apartment, rent-free for a year.

Closing things out with an extra surprise, Fletcher and Perry performed a drum rendition of Pharrell Williams’ “Happy”, and when they were finished DeGeneres brought out Williams himself to meet the duo.
