The adorable young girl that had Pharrell Williams in tears at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles gala last month comes face-to-face with her hero once again on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Friday.
Ellie Georges, 9, was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was just 4-months-old, before she ended up being in a coma for three weeks two years ago. Despite having to relearn how to walk, talk, and breathe on her own since, she’s all smiles as she appears on the talkshow.
Speaking about the incredibly sweet video, that saw Williams sob after dancing next to the youngster on stage, Ellie’s mom Samantha says: “I got to see what it looks like when she’s in awe in that magical moment.
“We used to dance all the time,” she adds.
Ellie is then overcome with emotion as DeGeneres surprises her with her fave hip-hop superstar.
Williams tells her, “Please don’t cry because the last time you did that you made me cry,” to which little Ellie replies: “I’m really sorry about that Pharrell!”
The “Happy” hitmaker then says, “I’ll never forget it. It was the environment, it was the moment. I was overcome by your angelic energy.”
The interview also sees DeGeneres surprise Ellie’s mom with a cheque for $50,000 to help with the little one’s medical expenses.
