Halle Berry is used to people declaring their love for her, but Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff took things to a whole new level Sunday.

The sportsman, 24, managed to grab the 52-year-old actress’ attention by using her name as an audible before the Rams were crowned victorious over the Seattle Seahawks over the weekend.

Goff could be heard screaming “Halle Berry” mid-match and he did it so loud, Berry took to Twitter to question what he meant by it.

Berry posted: “Hold up. @JaredGoff16 @RamsNFL – What is a ‘Halle Berry’??” to which Goff replied: “It’s my favourite play ever.”

Goff then said, according to ESPN: “Wait, hold on, are you serious? She heard it!” when Berry’s shoutout was brought up.

He added, “It’s so funny. The thing is, when [Sean McVay] called it, I was like, ‘It’s so quiet right now, this is going to get on TV.'”

Despite Berry, and everybody else, being super intrigued as to what exactly a “Halle Berry” entails, Goff and his coach were keeping tight-lipped.

McVay insisted, “She’s a very attractive woman that players know. And it’s related to the play.”
