Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are trying to save their home along with other houses in their neighbourhood, during the devastating wildfires blazing through California.
As TMZ reports, the couple, who live at the end of a cul-de-sac that borders a field, have hired a private team of firefighters to save their entire block.
Since the Wests live on the corner, if their house were to catch on fire it would cause a “domino” effect which could destroy their whole street.
Sources close to the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star says the firefighting team is armed with hoses, but have also dug ditches in the hopes of creating a fire break.
TMZ says all their neighbours are thanking Kimye for working to save their own $60 million home along with countless others.
Over the weekend, Kardashian updated fans on Instagram on the wildfires. Kim, Kanye and their kids, North, Saint and Chicago stayed in a hotel nearby during their evacuation.
At Sunday’s People’s Choice Awards, Kardashian addressed the devastation: “As horrible as this has been, it’s been amazing to see the resilient spirit of everyone involved, and the heroism of those risking their lives on the front lines. Action is necessary, so anything we can do to help, as simple as donating to the many organization that are collecting supplies, no form of help is too small.”
A number of other celebs, including Camille Grammer, Gerard Butler, Robin Thicke, Lady Gaga, Orlando Bloom, Caitlyn Jenner and many others, were forced to evacuate the Woolsey Fire.
