Hugh Jackman revealed last week that he’s facing another bout with skin cancer – but not to worry, the actor assures us he’s just “paying for [his] misspent youth.”;
“There are three types of skin cancer, melanoma being the worst,”; Jackman explains to Cheryl Hickey. “The best, or the least threatening, is a basal cell. So I’ve only ever had basal cells. In Australia, it’s sort of the new normal.”;

Still, the actor is adamant: “Wear sunscreen, get check-ups, because it’s a completely preventable disease.”;

With his health on the mend, Jackman soars to new heights alongside Taron Egerton in the new movie Eddie The Eagle, inspired by Eddie Edwards and his journey to becoming an underdog hero at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. Jackman plays the athlete’s coach, Bronson Peary, but it doesn’t sound like he drew much inspiration for the role from his everyday life!
“Weirdly, I’m madly into sports, and neither of my kids are really that into it,”; the star laments. “That’s been a bit frustrating!”;

Meanwhile, Egerton, who plays Edwards, had to learn how to ski for the role – but thankfully, he didn’t have to undergo too much of a transformation.
“We knew that we didn’t want him to look particularly heroic or like a very “likely’ hero, so I didn’t really do any training or gym time,”; Egerton says with a laugh. “And then what we thought we would do, was we put me in skin-tight lycras to accentuate the whole thing!”;
