“The Bachelor” season 20 star Arie Luyendyk Jr. and fiancee Lauren Burnham are expecting their first child.
Luyendyk Jr., 37, and Burnham, 26, confirmed the exciting news to ET Canada, announcing their due date is June.
Burnham also told Us Weekly, “I kind of had a feeling that I might be pregnant. So my friend insisted on bringing a pregnancy test over.
“Arie came out with the test in his hand and tears in his eyes. He was like, ‘You’re pregnant!’”
The pair then drove to a store to purchase six more tests, with Luyendyk Jr. gushing: “Lauren took all of them and they were all positive.
“We weren’t trying but we are so excited. It’s going to be a whole new chapter in our lives.”
The interview then saw Burnham admit pregnancy had been pretty difficult so far, explaining: “October was miserable. I had really bad morning sickness and barely left the house.
“But over the last week I’ve started feeling a lot better, so it’s nice to have my energy back.
“When I wasn’t feeling that great, I was trying to go on a lot of walks. But now I do cycling a few times a week.”

I can’t sleep… the house is quiet, you’re next to me. I can hear your soft breath and I wonder what you’re dreaming about. I closed my eyes tonight and our future played like a beautiful romance with flashes of our wedding, travels, our children and a house full of friends, family and love. I woke up and you were wrapped in my arms, our pups on the floor next to us. Now I lay awake wanting to fast forward our lives but in the same breath push pause and not let these eyes close for too long because this is what true love feels like. Good night xo
Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham had everybody talking when they met on season 20 of “The Bachelor”. It wasn’t exactly the most perfect of love stories from the get-go, after Luyendyk Jr. first proposed to Becca Kufrin, before realizing he was in love with runner-up Burnham.
The lovebirds got engaged on the “After the Final Rose” special in March 2016 and are set to tie the knot in January 2019 in Hawaii.
