In the recording, West (who was reportedly miffed that an SNL staffer had disassembled a shiny floor that was causing stage lights to reflect into the camera) can be clearly heard yelling at someone, repeatedly saying”; “Don’t f*** with me!”; — and then firing a pointed barb at Taylor Swift, denigrating her as “fake ass.”;

In the audio, West also declares himself to be “50 per cent more influential”; than acclaimed 2001: A Space Odyssey director Stanley Kubrick, as well as the “Apostle Paul”; and those other famous Pablos, Picasso and Escobar, not just in the present, but “for the next thousand years.”;

Meanwhile, an SNL source tells Page Six that Yeezy’s behaviour “was like he was having an emotional breakdown. He was calling the crew ‘white motherf***ers’ and then said he was going to walk out. The only thing that stopped him from actually leaving right then was that nobody had access to the freight elevator. If he’d walked out on the live show, it would have been a disaster. And the whole meltdown was just because of the floor.”;

However, a source close to the temperamental rapper has a different take on the situation, telling Page Six: “Right before he was about to go on live television they took his stage apart. Like any artist, he’s a perfectionist, and wanted his performance to be right. Of course he was upset.”; Listen:
