Steve Carell Talks Meeting Kelly Clarkson 13 Years After That ’40-Year-Old Virgin’ Scene

Steve Carell spoke about the moment he finally met Kelly Clarkson 13 years after that “40-Year-Old Virgin” scene as he appeared on Thursday’s “The Tonight Show”.

Carell was quizzed by Jimmy Fallon about introducing himself to the “American Idol” star at this year’s Golden Globes. The host also mentioned his movie scene in question, which saw his character scream Clarkson’s name while getting his chest waxed.

The actor insisted, “She is awesome, she’s the best.”

“I thought she’d be mad about me about that,” he added of the scene in the 2005 flick. “Like, ‘is he making fun of me?’

“Why would he say that in anguish?”

Carell’s interview also saw him discuss his recent Esquire shoot, with Fallon gushing over the images.

When asked if he liked posing for pictures, Carell quipped: “I love it so much! It’s where I feel my most natural.”
