Sean “Diddy” Combs is said to be “devastated” after the tragic death of his ex-girlfriend and the mother of four children, Kim Porter.
Porter was found dead in her Toluca Lake, California, home Thursday aged 47. According to TMZ, the model and actress had been suffering flu-like symptoms and possibly pneumonia for several weeks.
A source told People, “Diddy is devastated and shocked. He and Kim were still very close friends and co-parents even though their romantic relationship didn’t work.
“They were still a family.”
Porter and Combs began dating in 1994, splitting and getting back together several times until breaking up for good in 2007.
Porter was the mother of four children. In addition to her children with Combs — twin girls Jessie James and D’Lila, born in 2006, and son Christian Combs, born in 1998 — she was also survived by son Quincy, from an earlier relationship with R&B singer Al B. Sure.
Combs’ rep, Cindi Berger, confirmed to TMZ: “Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time.”
The exact cause of death is undetermined.
