Jim Carrey has his opinion on who would make for a good President of the United States and it is not Donald Trump.
The iconic Canadian-born comedian shared his political views during a conversation at the Vulture Festival in Los Angeles on Sunday. Carrey, 56, grilled Trump and vouched for speculated presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Beto O’Rourke.
The “Kidding” star called the incumbent U.S. President “the demon that’s controlling us.” And although he is not a passionate supporter of Hilary Clinton, Carey believes she would do a decent job in office.
“I don’t think she would be a bad president,” he said. “I believe she knows what she’s doing, but the fact that so many people are conflicted about her, whether that’s right or wrong, is a problem and will lose votes, will lose swing votes.”
But the actor’s support is firmly behind Harris and O’Rourke: “I think she’s fantastic, and he’s a really incredible guy.”
Carrey has been using his social media presence and his artwork to disparage the U.S. President. Last month, he called Trump’s administration “demons” and urged his followers to be “The Exorcist” and “vote Democrat.”
