Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are the latest artists to be announced for the Dolly Parton tribute gig at the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year event.
The news comes after it was confirmed Chris Stapleton, Shawn Mendes, Pink, and Norah Jones would be taking the stage.
Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Don Henley, Linda Perry and Mavis Staples will also be performing.
The show will be held on Feb. 8 in Los Angeles during Grammys weekend and sees the above musicians join Leon Bridges, Mark Ronson, and Lauren Daigle.
Parton, 72, who is being honoured for her significant creative accomplishments and longtime support of many charitable causes, will close the show herself.
Past MusiCares Person of the Year honorees include Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Barbra Streisand, James Taylor, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wonder, and Neil Young.
Parton is the first person from Nashville to win the award.
“Dolly Parton has always been and continues to be a courageous trailblazer and indomitable inspiration for creators and artists — so for us to have the opportunity to honour her at our annual MusiCares Person of the Year gala is to pay tribute to a true pillar of strength and someone who we all look up to and cherish,” Neil Portnow, president/CEO of MusiCares and the Recording Academy, said in a press release.
“With her legendary talent, she has forged a career that spans decades, and her gifts as a performer resound on both stage and screen. Dolly also knows the power of philanthropy and she has used her stardom to contribute to a wide range of causes, from natural disasters to education and literacy programs.”
