Warner Bros. has unveiled the new trailer for the upcoming “Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” flick ahead of its eagerly anticipated Feb. 8 release date.
The star-studded sequel is finally set to hit theatres in the new year following the original 2014 film, with the trailer showing the Lego squad teaming up to fight the new Duplo invaders from outer space.
The teaser begins with Lucy (a.k.a. Wyldstyle, played by Elizabeth Banks) saying: “Once, everything was awesome; now, everything is bleak.”
Emmet Brickowski (Chris Pratt) then accidentally gets her abducted and so makes it his mission to save her.
The upcoming movie also stars Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Alison Brie (Unikitty), Channing Tatum (Superman), Tiffany Haddish (Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi) and Will Arnett (Batman).
“The Lego Movie 2” is directed by Mike Mitchell and will open in theatres Feb. 8, 2019.
