Cheryl Claps Back, Defends Her ‘X Factor’ Performance: ‘I Loved It’

Cheryl isn’t holding back when it comes to haters.

On Sunday, the singer, 35, performed her latest single “Love Made Me Do It” live on the “X Factor” but the performance earned mixed reviews — particularly, the moment when she licked her tattooed hand while singing the lyrics, “The ink on my skin, is all the places I’ve been.”

Twitter questioned the gesture’s appropriateness, with many viewers actually writing to the broadcast network to complain, prompting a spokesperson from the network to release a statement: “We are assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules before deciding whether or not to investigate.”
