Billie Eilish’s stock continues to rise at the young age of 16.
The “When the Party’s Over” singer has quickly become one of 2018’s biggest sensations, generating more than a billion streams only half-way through her teens.
Now Eilish has captured the attention of tech giant Apple. The Apple Music “Up Next” artist sings the sprawling holiday ballad “Come Out and Play” for Apple’s new holiday “Share Your Gifts” campaign. She wrote the song with her brother Finneas O’Connell.
Tuesday, Nov. 20 also marks Eilish’s first of three sold-out nights at the L.A. Forum. The same day, she and her brother spoke with “Beats 1” host Zane Lowe about her new festive song.
“It was a really fun process to watch the commercial a billion times and try to write sort of a song that helped to narrate the commercial,” O’Connell said of the Apple commercial. “It was very different because we had never written a song about like empowering yourself,” Eilish chimed in.
“It’s so Christmasy and cute like it’s very, very cute,” she continued. “I like that people are going to kind of think of this song as a holiday-ish.”
Eilish is currently on a world tour and has sold-out every scheduled venue in Germany, the U.K. and U.S. She is also working on her debut studio album.
