Michelle Wolf wasn’t going to let Donald Trump’s comments about her performance at the most recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner go without a comeback.
On Tuesday it was announced that following Wolf’s controversial roast at the event, the featured speaker at the 2019 event would be a historian instead of a comedian.
Tweeting about the news, Trump claimed that the decision not to have a comedian speak next year was made because “Michelle Wolf bombed so badly,” and suggested he might actually attend next year.
Responding to the president, Wolf quote-tweeted with the simple comeback, “I bet you’d be on my side if I had killed a journalist,” referring to Trump’s continued support of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman following the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Wolf’s brutal response had Twitter users in awe.
