The cast of Friends (minus Matthew Perry, who’s in London starring in a play) were together again for last night’s televised tribute to sitcom director James Burrows, and viewers learned a few things from the chat with Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston.
For example, interviewer Andy Cohen asked the cast to confirm or deny a rumour that the cast was was asked to sign a contract that each would refrain from sleeping with another cast member. Apparently not true.

One rumour that actually is true is that Cox originally auditioned to play Rachel and Aniston auditioned for Monica, and that during the first year of the show they would gather together each week and watch the episode together.
The cast shared another tidbit: the female Friends ate lunch together every day, and ate the same thing each day: the “Jennifer Salad.”; As Aniston explained, “I tossed it,”; while Cox added: “She has a way with it.”;

We also learned the answer to a question that’s been bugging Friends fans since the show first went on the air: how could Monica afford such an amazing apartment in New York City? The reason: rent control.
Looking back at the Friends experience now, Aniston said: “We experienced friendship, family, heartbreak, babies, everything, together. And we also had a wonderful experience with the world loving us as well.”;
