Ed Sheeran thrilled fans when he teased a possible BTS collaboration, and now the K-pop boy band is also teasing the potential collab.
The rumours began when Sheeran, 27, was interviewed by Heatworld in November, and revealed he had written a track that BTS “might be messing with.”
Sheeran read out the tweet: “I want BTS x Ed Sheeran but when will they ever.”
He then replied, “I actually wrote a song that I think they might be messing with. I heard this the other day. I don’t know.
“I really like BTS, though. I think they’re really great.”
After a few weeks of silence on the subject, on Wednesday the band shared a post on its official Twitter account, featuring a photo of what appears to be a song on a computer screen, along with a caption reading, “hmm… this is for you @edsheeran #SUGA.”
Based on the photo, it would appear that BTS member Suga is wrapping up the new track, which is titled (for now) “ED SHEERAN ST ROUGH.”
BTS and Ed Sheeran have both worked with some huge names in the past, with Sheeran writing for Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and the Weeknd, while BTS have worked with artists including Steve Aoki and Nicki Minaj.
