Alessia Cara scored big at the 106th Grey Cup in Edmonton on Sunday.
The Canadian singer, 22, put on a thrilling performance during the CFL event’s halftime show and closing number. She performed bangers like “Stay” and “Wild Things”, the latter of which featured an accompanying band of drummers.
“Thank you to the CFL for having us. That was insane,” Cara tweeted shortly after her headlining spot on Sunday. “And thank you to everyone sending me love.”
The CFL was pretty happy with Cara’s performance too. “Did you miss Alessia Cara’s closing number!?” the league’s official Twitter asked. “She brought the serious fire.”
Cara now joins a list of legendary Canadians who have graced the Grey Cup stage, including: Justin Bieber, Shania Twain, The Tragically Hip, Nelly Furtado, Bryan Adams, Carly Rae Jepsen, Sam Roberts and Marianas Trench.
