Based on the beloved 2001 novel by Eoin Colfer, the film follows the adventures of Artemis Fowl, the 12-year-old descendant of a family of criminal geniuses, who must face off against a powerful race of fairies in the search for his missing father.

In the teaser, a voice-over from one of the fairies explains that the creatures went underground to escape from humanity’s “rapacious appetite.”
“I warn you, boy. You are not prepared for the truth behind what you seek,” the voice says. “Now you will believe.”
