Kate Middleton was reportedly left extremely emotional at one of Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fittings ahead of Meghan Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry earlier this year.

Middleton, 36, was said to have been “left in tears” after the meeting; the reason for the tears is unknown.

According to the Telegraph, the Duchess of Cambridge had a tense moment with Harry’s then-bride-to-be.

One source mentioned that Middleton, who welcomed her third son in April, “had only just given birth to Prince Louis and was feeling quite emotional,” the Daily Mail reported.

Harry’s wedding to Markle took place on May 19 at Windsor Castle.

ET Canada have reached out to Kensington Palace for further comment.

Despite recent reports of a feud between the two duchesses, an insider insisted to the Mail that Harry and Markle were moving out of the Palace to Frogmore Cottage for reasons other than the alleged coldness between the pair.

The source explained, “While there are some tensions behind the scenes, Kate is pretty unflappable and nothing has become bad enough to make Harry and Meghan want to move out.

“People are genuinely pleased to see them so happy.”

Harry and Markle have lived at Kensington Palace’s Nottingham Cottage since their engagement last year.
