John Krasinski discusses everything from his wife Emily Blunt to working out with Dwayne Johnson during an appearance on Wednesday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
DeGeneres, 60, quizzes the 39-year-old about Blunt’s upcoming flick “Mary Poppins Returns”, with the actor explaining how they’d recently held a Thanksgiving screening for the family.
He says, “I tried to prepare them for how emotional it is. The first time I ever saw it, they give you a tissue box in the screening room. I was like, ‘Oh that’s very nice, I don’t have a cold.’
“And they started screening the movie and 25 minutes into the movie I stood up and went to the back of the room and Emily said, ‘Do you not like it? I’ve never seen this happen.’”
The “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” favourite continues: “I was crying so much. I blew threw the tissue box in 20 minutes. Had to go to the napkins and then when I ran out of the napkins, it was all sweater.
“It’s honestly one of the most beautiful films. I think [it’s] exactly what everybody needs for the holidays. It’s pure joy.”
Krasinski’s appearance also sees him talk about currently working on the sequel to “A Quiet Place”, as well as revealing what happened the moment he met Matthew McConaughey during his wife’s citizenship ceremony.
He then explains how he got the chance to work out in Dwayne Johnson’s gym, telling the host: “I walked in and it was like alien spaceships had landed, there was like 40 pieces of equipment that I’d never seen in my life.”
