After splitting from her husband last year, Mel B had one of her tattoos removed but she didn’t get rid of it completely.
Appearing on an episode of “Loose Women” this week, the Spice Girl revealed that she had undergone surgery to cut her ex Stephen Belafonte’s name off her skin.
“It was almost like a cleanse. I just wanted to feel fresh and new again and untouched by that person,” she explained.
“It sounds horrific but what I went through was so horrific. This one particular tattoo that my ex had forced me to have was ‘Stephen until death do us part, you own my heart.'”
She then revealed what she did with the offending skin. “I’ve saved it in a jar… at the top of my wardrobe. Nobody can see it but I know it’s there.”
On Tuesday, Mel B stepped out for the launch of her tell-all book Brutally Honest wearing a dress with a strong statement.
The sparkling silver sequin dress was emblazoned with the bright red words, “I Am Not Sorry, I Am Not For Sale, I Am Not For Reproduction.”
Mel B filed for divorce from Belafonte in March 2017 after being married for 10 years. The 43-year-old accused her ex-husband of physical and emotional abuse. He has denied her allegations.
