Global Citizen is going all out for their festival honouring the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.
Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 is a campaign partnership between advocacy group Global Citizen and the House of Mandela with hopes of ending poverty by 2030.
The star-studded festival will include a special keynote address from Oprah Winfrey and a musical performance by husband-and-wife superstar duo Beyonce and Jay-Z.
Other artists scheduled to appear are Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Kacey Musgraves, Pharrell Williams and Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Usher, and Wizkid, among others.
Celebrities from all pockets of entertainment will also stop by, including comedian Dave Chappelle, actress Naomi Campbell and YouTube stars Rhett & Link.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, had some big news to share on Twitter, revealing that the government of Canada was pledging $50 million to Global Citizen’s Education Cannot Wait initiative.
South African comedian and “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah will emcee the event. Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 will be livestreamed above via YouTube on Dec. 2 at 7 a.m. ET.
