Claire Foy Performs ‘Rapper’s Delight’ On ‘The Tonight Show’

Claire Foy has many talents: She can act, she can Riverdance, and she can rap all the words to Sugarhill Gang’s 1979 classic “Rapper’s Delight”.

The former star of “The Crown” stopped by “The Tonight Show” on Thursday to talk about her roles in the Neil Armstrong biopic “First Man” and the upcoming “Girl In The Spider’s Web”, in which she plays vigilante hacker Lisbeth Salander.

But the highlight of the show was when host Jimmy Fallon revealed that he’d read a rumour on the internet about Foy knowing all the lyrics to “Rapper’s Delight”.

Foy, who looked a little embarrassed, was handed a microphone by Fallon while the Roots played a backing beat, and then, with some audience encouragement, she started spitting bars!

Sadly, Fallon threw to commercial break before Foy could finish the song but there was no doubt she knew how to bang bang the boogie.

Maybe Foy can give us the full performance when she hosts “Saturday Night Live” for the first time tomorrow night.
