Tyra Banks responded to Winnie Harlow’s comments about “America’s Next Top Model” just being a reality TV show as she was quizzed by Andy Cohen on Thursday’s “Watch What Happens Live”.

Despite some hitting out at Harlow over the remarks on social media, the Canadian model has now insisted she “stands by” what she said.

Creator of the show Banks, 44, who discovered Harlow, 24, appeared shocked as the “WWHL” caller asked her about the young model. Banks responded last week, “I discovered her on Instagram and she’s on this show, so what do you think that means?”

The supermodel continued, “I have nothing but love for my girls. My girls come from so many walks of life, so much pain, so much hardship and so much story.

“A lot of the times when people express themselves in certain ways there’s a reason. I will respect her confidentiality and her life, but…” she paused.

Banks added, “I have to give love to her. They’re all my babies, even the ones that act out.”

The star’s appearance came after Harlow appeared on “WWHL”, during which she was asked when she’d realized she had “made it.”

Harlow then said it was definitely after “ANTM” because that was really all just for the cameras.

The Toronto-born model explained, “[My success] really started after the show, ’cause that really didn’t do anything for my career, which, it doesn’t do anything for any model’s career, realistically.”

She then took to Instagram Monday to insist she was just being honest.
