7-Year-Old Becomes Forbes’ YouTube Top Earner After Making $22M This Year

Seven-year-old Ryan of YouTube’s Ryan ToysReview is Forbes‘ top-earning vlogger of the year after making more than $22 million in 2018.

The youngster, known for his toy unboxing and reviews, beat out Jake Paul, younger brother of the controversial Logan Paul, since dropping his own line of toys that allows fans to unbox a surprise toy at home.

However, Jake Paul still managed to have a pretty good year, earning a career-best $21.5 million, capturing the #2 spot by beating out Dude Perfect by $1.5 million.

DanTDM was 2017’s top earner, but dropped fourth place with 2018 earnings of $18.5 million.

Meanwhile, makeup guru Jeffree Star slid into fifth place with total earnings of $18 million for the year.

Markiplier beat out Canadian gamer Evan Fong, of Vanoss Gaming, by a half-million, earning $17.5 million and $17 million, respectively.

Jackscepticeye hits in at #8 at $16 million, while two disgraced stars take up the last two spots: PewDiePie, in ninth place with $15.5 million in annual earnings; and Logan Paul in 10th place with $14.5 million.

All earnings estimates are calculated from June 1, 2017 through June 1, 2018.
