Sherri Shepherd Shows Off 25-Pound Weight Loss After Giving Up Sugar On Keto Diet

Sherri Shepherd is enjoying the results of eight months of healthy eating, sharing a photo on Instagram in which the former star of “The View” is noticeably slimmer.

As she writes in the caption, Shepherd, 51, has shed 25 pounds over the past eight months by giving up sugar while embracing a ketogenic diet.

“Getting it in!!! Over 260 days #sugarfree … can’t begin to describe how amazing I feel,” she wrote. “Energy, clarity of thought and mind. Focused … patient (with) my son. Hearing from God a lot more clearly. Present. I’ve done this slowly and steadily and since March I’ve come down over 25 lbs.”

She added: “This is not a fad – it’s my life that is at stake. It feels so good to feel good.”

Shepherd is one of many celebrities to embrace the keto diet, which nvolves eating high-fat foods while eliminating most carbohydrates.

Other stars who’ve successfully shed weight on the keto diet include Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker of “Today” and former porn star Jenna Jameson, who shared her own dramatic weight-loss photos on Instagram earlier this year.
