Gillian Anderson is back on the small screen.
The “X-Files” actress, 50, stars as a sex therapist in the upcoming Netflix series “Sex Education” next to “Hugo”‘s Asa Butterfield, and now we have our first trailer for the show.
Set in the fictional English town of Moordale, the pair star as mother and son, Jean and Otis, who have outrageous conversations about sex in his home life thanks to her profession.

But when Otis’ friends at school expose his mom’s job, the 16-year-old takes advantage and uses his inside knowledge to gain popularity by setting up an underground sex therapy clinic.
Netflix describes the eight-episode series as a “modern portrayal of sexual and romantic experiences, friendships and contemporary young-adult life.”

The series, shot in Wales, also stars Ncuti Gatwa as Eric, Otis’ best friend, Emma Mackey as Maeve, a high school bad girl who helps Otis with the clinic’s start-up, Kedar Williams-Stirling as Jackson, the hot, popular swimmer, Amiee Lou Wood as Amiee, the popular wanna-be and Adam played by Connor Swindells, a bad boy with anger issues.





Netflix is set to launch “Sex Education” on January 11.
