Six-time Juno Award winner and multi-platinum recording artist Serena Ryder is here to fill your holiday season with “Christmas Kisses”.

The title track from her first-ever holiday album, produced by Canadian Music Hall of Fame Inductee Bob Ezrin, the song features rescue dogs from the Ontario SPCA and Canadian dog influencers in holiday garb giving out kisses to festive onlookers.

Guest-starring in the video, adorably capturing how powerful the gift of love is, are several Canadian dog influencers including: @hermaninthehood, @lildogbigcity, @owenthegriff, @remsandfriends and @fortheloveofsmiley.

“It’s been a dream of mine to be able to sing an entire album in this style – and also a dream to be able to embrace the spirit of Christmas in a genuinely joyful way,” Ryder shares. “I had the time of my life singing these classic songs in the style of my greatest influencers and in the company of my best friends. I hope the world feels the love we all put into this record.”

“Serena is so versatile and has such a command of her instrument that anything is possible with her,” Ezrin comments. “So, we picked what we thought would be the most elegant approach to Christmas classics – one that shone the brightest light on the songs themselves and on her magnificent voice.”

Celebrating the importance of spending time with loved ones, over focusing on material gifts, Ryder has partnered with the Ontario SPCA to specifically feature rescue dogs who are in need of a home. The Ontario SPCA has created a unique “Christmas Kisses” page where donations can be submitted to help care for rescue animals.

Ryder performed her new track at the 2018 Original Santa Claus Parade in Toronto and is now kicking off her East Coast Christmas Kisses Tour in Halifax, before making stops in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

“Christmas Kisses” is available now on gold-coloured vinyl, CD and all digital streaming platforms. Listen to the album here.
