Mark Wahlberg sat down with Anderson Cooper today on Anderson Live and although the actor was there with Broken City co-star Jeffrey Wright to promote the film, he spilled the beans on whether or not there will be a Ted sequel. He also revealed who he’ll be showing up with at the Oscars, if there’s any truth behind him making a movie with Justin Bieber and why he’s going back to school.
Mouthful, we know.
“There is a Ted 2, we’ve already locked the deal,”; Mark told Anderson, adding, “I’ve never done a sequel before, but I just have so much confidence in Seth. He is just such a talented and funny guy.”;

And speaking of Seth MacFarlane, host of this year’s Academy Awards, Mark said that’s exactly why he will be attending with Ted which really caught Anderson by surprise. “Really? Wow, that’s cool. I hope Ted doesn’t smoke a bong before the Oscars,”; to which Mark joked, “He can’t do it without it. It’s mandatory.”;
Another rumour that Mark debunked was that yes, he will be making a movie with teen heartthrob, Justin Bieber. “We were at Paramount pitching a different movie, and I said “hey by the way, what do you think about me and Justin Bieber in a like Color of Money type basketball, street hustler movie?’ They brought it in the room in five seconds.”;
But, don’t get your hopes up just yet, Mark says that it won’t start production until next year “He’s touring and I’m doing Transformers, Ted 2 and another movie so we will probably do it next year.”; And the veteran actor has full confidence in The Biebs, “I think if he’s in the right project, I think he could be very good.”;
Mark’s spoken out about his past before, saying that he regrets his jail time and has recently finished his GED, and now the former male model is heading back to school. “I made a poor decision to quit school but I think I made a more poor decision to go back, only because it’s so hard,” he says. “I knew I was in trouble when I looked at my nine-year-old daughter’s fourth grade homework and I couldn’t make it out.”;
