Report: Carrie Ann Inaba To Take Julie Chen’s Seat On ‘The Talk’

Global’s “The Talk” has reportedly found a new co-host.

According to Variety Carrie Ann Inaba will take over for Julie Chen, who recently left the daytime talk show after her husband Les Moonves had left CBS following sexual misconduct allegations.

The “Dancing With The Stars” judge has reportedly closed a deal with CBS and will become an official co-host starting in January.

Inaba has joined the panel that consists of Eve, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood on and off since Chen’s departure in September.

When Chen announced she was leaving “The Talk” – she will continue to host the Global reality show “Big Brother” – she delivered a video message to her co-hosts, and Inaba happened to be a guest host that day: “You’d look awful good sitting in that chair, my Asian sister. I’m just saying.”

“I will always, always cherish the memories we shared,” she continued. “Most important, I want to thank you, the viewers, for allowing me into your home every day. It was a privilege that I will forever be grateful for.”

ET Canada has reached out to “The Talk” for comment.

“The Talk” airs weekdays at 2 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
