Now known throughout the world as the Duchess of Sussex, wife of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s long-ago past as a struggling actress is resurfacing after a vintage headshot and CV were posted online.
As the Evening Standard reports, the undated photo and resume were posted on Facebook by Endorse Management Group, and are both believed to date from before Markle’s 2006 turn as a briefcase model on the Howie Mandel-hosted game show “Deal Or No Deal”, as that particular job isn’t mentioned on her CV.
Markle’s resume, however, does include one her earlier roles, including her role as “hot chick” in the Ashton Kutcher-starring made-for-TV movie “A Lot Like Love”, which aired in 2005.
In addition, Markle’s CV details her theatre work (including roles in such musicals as “Damn Yankees” and “Annie”), along with a listing of her “special skills,” which include fluency in Spanish and French, in addition to her skills in kickboxing, tap dancing, ballet and more.
Markle’s big break came when she landed a regular gig as one of several briefcase-toting models on “Deal Or No Deal”, which provided a steady paycheque while she pursued an acting career in Hollywood, ultimately landing the “Suits” role of Rachel Zane in 2011.
Meanwhile, Markle has a big year ahead of her in 2019. In addition to the upcoming arrival of her first child in in the spring, she’s also going to be the subject of a short Broadway-style musical commissioned by the BBC.
