Elizabeth Banks gets a leading role in a new horror movie.
“BrightBurn” introduces a familiar superhero theme but flips it on its head. The film asks the question, “What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?”
Filmmaker David Yarovesky directs Sony Pictures’ new horror with “Guardians of the Galaxy”director James Gunn serving as a producer.
The “Scrubs” and “Hunger Games” actress is joined by David Denman, Jackson A. Dunn, Matt Jones and Meredith Hagner in the film.
“BrightBurn” premieres May 24 in theatres.
