YouTube’s look back at the year that was has inspired a whole lot of hate.
Since dropping online on Dec. 6, the “YouTube Rewind 2018” video has bagged 9.9 million dislikes, which is more than Justin Bieber’s “Baby”. The Canadian star previously held the title with 9.84 million downvotes.
The clip has now amassed over 120 million views.
The video, which opens with Will Smith, and then segues into a parody of the video game Fortnite, includes a host of famous YouTubers and references to the year 2018.
Several famous YouTubers were left out of the video, though, including controversial figures Logan Paul and PewDiePie, who, in his own reaction video, criticized YouTube for focusing too much on Fortnite.
“Why do I get the feeling that Will Smith never played Fortnite?” he asked.
He also criticized YouTube for bringing in non-YouTubers like John Oliver and Trevor Noah dancing in their cameos. “I wish I didn’t see that,” PewDiePie said.
On Twitter, the video was met with mockery.
