Jared Leto halted a Thirty Seconds to Mars gig in California last week due to the venue’s security team allegedly being “too aggressive.”
Leto, who took the stage at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento with his band, could be heard saying in videos shared on social media: “You do not need to take that guy down. You guys are being too aggressive tonight.”
After stopping the music and urging the venue to turn the lights up, the singer pointed out one fan in particular who was reportedly being acosted by “seven guys.”

Leto continued, “Do not abuse this guy, okay? Relax, settle down, don’t escalate the situation. That’s fine but there’s seven guys like on top of this guy. It’s ridiculous.”
“I know it’s a funny thing. It happens when you get too many security guards in one building, there’s always problems, there’s always problems, guys. Settle down, just take care of each other, just take care of each other.”

The fan who posted the clips also said in the caption that a 17-year-old had been “punched by the security six times.”
They added: “[They were] thrown to the ground, kicked in the back AND ribs.”
