During the latest episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk”, Ellen Pompeo opened up about her current relationship with former “Grey’s” co-star Patrick Dempsey.

“We haven’t spoken since he’s left the show,” Pompeo tells Pinkett Smith. “I have no hard feelings toward him, he’s a wonderful actor, and we made, you know, the best TV you could make together.”

Dempsey played Dr. Derek Shepherd – otherwise known as McDreamy – for 11 seasons on the hit-medical series before exiting the show back in 2015.

“That’s a talented man right there,” the 49-year-old says. “He did 11 amazing years.”

“Typically when people leave the show, they need to sort of re-find themselves, who they are, without the show, because the show takes up so much of your life,” Pompeo adds. “You need that time to figure out who you are without the show. So, we have not spoken but I will always have a place in my heart for Patrick.”

Meanwhile, Pompeo isn’t too thrilled with that angle of the interview being picked up. She took aim at wine-loving Kathie Lee and Hoda, tweeting: “Hey here’s a suggestion!! Maybe all of you over there lay off the booze and pay attention to the real conversation that took place?”
