The 2016 Emmy Awards now has a host, with Jimmy Kimmel announcing on Twitter that he’ll be returning to helm the annual celebration of television for a second time.

Rumours indicated that the late-night funnyman was in talks with ABC to host the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards, which will air this year on ABC, the network that airs Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The news isn’t too surprising, given that Kimmel hosted the last time ABC aired the Emmys (the show moves from network to network each year), back in 2012.
“I am excited to be hosting the Emmys again,”; added Kimmel in a statement. “I have a feeling I’m going to be great.”;

ABC’s entertainment president Channing Dungey, who replaced ousted network boss Paul Lee last month, said: “Jimmy Kimmel is the consummate showman. With Kimmel at the helm, expect to be at the edge of your seat for a bigger, bolder, and better-than-ever Emmy event.”;
