“Doctor Strange” is not finished.
Filmmaker Scott Derrickson has officially agreed to return for a sequel to Marvel’s well-received 2016 movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
The Oscar-nominated actor starred as the titular character in both “Doctor Strange” and “Avengers: Infinity War”. He also made a cameo in “Thor: Ragnarok” and will play a significant role in “Avengers: Endgame”.
“Doctor Strange 2” is eyeing a May 2021 release date, according to the Hollywood Reporter, with production expected to take place sometime in spring 2010.
Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, and Benedict Wong are all expected to return for the new movie.
