Jennifer Lopez is loving the big family she’s created with partner Alex Rodriguez.
The “Second Act” star is on the cover of People this week; inside she spoke about blending families with Rodriguez, the lack of pressure to get married, and her previous marriages.
Lopez and Rodriguez, who have been together since 2017, each have two children.
“Kids are so beautiful and open to love and new friends,” she said of merging the two families.
“I was so loving to his kids and he was so loving and accepting of mine, and they embraced each other right away. [It was] ‘I get a new bonus brother and sisters to hang out with all the time and it’s nice.’”
Rodriguez (who was apparently present for the interview) also added, “Our kids have become best friends and that keeps us both grounded and appreciative. We couldn’t have asked for anything better than the four of them getting along as they do.”
On whether they plan to get married, Lopez said, “Of course, it’s something we think about. We think about getting married but it will happen naturally when and if it’s supposed to.”
Lopez also opened up about the breakup of her previous marriage to Marc Anthony, as well as her two shorter marriages prior.
“I knew there was something going on that I did not understand,” Lopez said of the pattern of failed relationships. “I was done blaming other people – he did this or he did that – and I said to myself, No, it’s you.”
