UPDATE: Tuesday, March 8 (2:03 p.m. ET) – Nick Gordon’s lawyers are coming out swinging, claiming the boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown had no role in her death, and in fact tried to save her life.
As People reports, Gordon’s attorneys, Jose Baez and Joe S. Habachy, have released a statement claiming their client’s innocence.
“Nick Gordon’s life has been tumultuous since January of 2015 when he lost the love of his life,”; say the lawyers in their statement. “On top of being prohibited from visiting Bobbi Kristina at the hospital for the last six months of her life, Nick has been publicly humiliated for more than a year.”;
The statement continues: “Throughout that time, the Fulton County District Attorney’s office has tried to make Nick a murderer despite having clear and convincing evidence that Bobbi Kristina’s death was nothing more than a tragic accident, evidence that the District Attorney’s office fought to seal and conceal from the public rather than allowing her fans to know the truth.
“The truth is that Nick tried to save Bobbi Kristina’s life. The truth is that Nick cooperated with law enforcement since day one. The truth is that no one loved Bobbi Kristina more than Nick and no one has suffered more as a result of her death than Nick.”;
The lawyers add: “The Fulton County District attorney’s office even now continues to suggest that there is an ongoing investigation. However, at the recent hearing regarding unsealing the autopsy report, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Henry Newkirk repeatedly reiterated that the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office has had 13 months to investigate. By failing to acknowledge that there is simply no evidence of any wrongdoing, they have in essence helped feed the slanderous media frenzy regarding Nick Gordon.”;
The statement concludes: “Frankly, the right thing for the District Attorney’s office to do right now is to tell the public the truth… that this was an accident… or even a suicide, but not a murder,”; the statement concludes. “And the right thing for everyone to do is let Nick live his life now and let Bobbi Kristina rest in peace.”;

UPDATE: Friday, March 4 (12:45 p.m. ET) – Bobby Brown is blasting the autopsy report on daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Released earlier today, the autopsy report indicates that the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s death was due to a combination of drug intoxication and drowning. Brown has publicly blamed his daughter’s death on her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, and is currently locked in a wrongful death suit against him.
He responded to news of the autopsy with a statement released through his attorney:
“For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter’s autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death, is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family.”
Brown’s attorney stated that the family was informed of the autopsy’s impending release on Thursday. “Yesterday we were informed that two news affiliates were granted access to the autopsy of Bobbi Kristina Brown. While this action is unsettling, we will continue in our efforts in the civil lawsuit and the criminal investigation.”
Today would have marked Bobbi Kristina’s 23rd birthday, which her father addresses in his statement via attorney Christopher Brown (no relation). “23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born. Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl.”
His attorney continued, “Bobby Brown has had to be strong and mourn his loved ones in a fashion that is foreign to most people. So public, so raw, with apparently no end in sight. Hopefully public indictments and prosecution will lead to private healing and closure for Bobby Brown and his family.”

The Fulton County Medical Examiner has released its report in the case of Bobbi Kristina Brown, determining the daughter of the late Whitney Houston died due to a combination of drug intoxication and drowning.
The toxicology report (released today, on what would have been Brown’s 23rd birthday), found that Brown’s blood contained marijuana, alcohol, “a cocaine-related substance,”; a sedative, anti-anxiety medications and morphine,”; reports People.

“The underlying cause of death is the condition which starts the downhill course of events leading to death and in this case is the immersion associated with drug intoxication,”; said a statement from the medical examiner’s office. “The pneumonia and encephalopathy are more immediate causes which resulted from the immersion and drug intoxication.”;
However, the medical examiner’s office has been unable to determine whether Brown’s death was intentional (from either suicide or homicide) or the result of an accident.

Meanwhile, Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, remains locked in a legal battle with his late girlfriend’s family, who is suing him in civil court for wrongful death, alleging Brown “died due to a violent altercation with Defendant [Gordon],”; who “injected her with a toxic mixture.”;

Gordon’s lawyers have continually denied this claims, providing a statement last month to People stating Gordon continues to “grieve privately”; while feeling “dehumanized by the fictitious allegations.”;
Bobbi Kristin Brown passed away on July 20, 2015, after spending more than six months on life support after she was found unresponsive, face-down in a bathtub full of water.
