Megan Mullally is left to her own devices (or, wardrobe) when it comes to the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2019.
The “Will & Grace” actress will host the event but there is just one problem – she still needs a dress.
“I will be hosting! Thanks, SAG Awards… Will I be dressed as a Spanish senorita? We don’t know,” Mullally captioned a screenshot of ET Canada’s article on Thursday. “Looks like I will be buying my dress online though, as per my usual, even though there is literally a 100 per cent chance that I will be on camera because I’M HOSTING IT.”

yes, i will be hosting!! thanks @sagawards! will i be dressed as a spanish senorita? we don’t know. looks like i will be buying my dress online though, as per my usual, even though there is literally a 100 percent chance that i will be on camera, because I’M HOSTING IT. designers do not send me dresses. i’m online scrolling through the gowns sections of various websites- which i know how to do pretty well at this point- and then i tried to order something from saks fifth avenue and they cancelled my order 😂 oh, the glamor of it all. in other news, hosting this great show honoring amazing actors is going to be cool, and i may get to meet olivia colman. please send jokes! xx @saks
And Mullally’s Instagram post caught the attention of designer Christian Siriano, who wrote: “I would love to dress you!”
There have been many other instances of designers stepping up to the plate when actresses have publicized their need for a dress. Just ask Leslie Jones.
The SAG Awards 2019 take place Sunday, Jan. 27, and will air at 8 p.m. on Global.
